Applications open for new cohort of CEL Fellows

Applications are now available for ¹ú²úÂé¶¹AV's 2026-27 Community-Engaged Learning Fellows program. The CEL Fellows program supports instructional faculty and staff in integrating community-engaged learning into their formal or nonformal teaching.

Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President and the Center for Community-Engaged Learning, CEL Fellows learn community-engaged learning theory, course design, and pedagogy. Community-engaged learning is a high impact educational practice that improves student engagement, learning and development, social responsibility, and active ³¦¾±³Ù¾±³ú±ð²Ô²õ³ó¾±±è. â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯â¶Ä¯Ìý

The CEL Fellows programÌýseminarÌýwill meet in MayÌý2026. Participants receive a $1,000Ìýcourse or research development award, peer support, and one-on-oneÌýassistanceÌýtoÌýdesign a new community-engaged learning course orÌýmodifyÌýan existing course.ÌýProgramÌýguidelines and application can beÌýobtained viaÌýan emailÌýtoÌýmichelle.garraway@msstate.eduÌýwith submissions due by Feb. 27.
